No exp, but there are 68 achievements to collect which is better imo

It is by all rights one of the best competitive coop games out there. Try out the first before you get into the second one. Valve doesn't intend on stopping support for the first game when the second one comes out, so expect more free DLC for L4D1 in the future. Of course, the sequel will have a completely different play-style for survivors while throwing in new infected at that. So don't rely on the first game for training for the sequel.

I personally still don't think l4d2 will be worth the $40-50 retail price. Not even l4d1 is worth is since its just recently that there has been a boom of DLC probably because of all the angry gamers who were promised stuff and are still waiting.
